To ensure consistent application of ethical principles, Realtors® must complete the NAR Code of Ethics training every three years. For the 2025 cycle, this requirement is due by December 31, 2027.

The Standards of Practice serve to clarify the ethical obligations imposed by the various Articles and supplement, and do not substitute for, the Case Interpretations in Interpretations of the Code of Ethics.

NAR provides free Code of Ethics training courses for new members and existing members. All three courses, as well as NAR's C2EX endorsement, fulfill NAR's Code of Ethics training requirement.
