SmartMusic: A Review : r/band - Reddit
God I hate SmartMusic so much. Because of quarantine and all that, we're using SmartMusic for Band now, and it's a piece of shit. Either I'm always late or the notes are always wrong, even though I'm positive I'm playing the right notes. I've wasted hours just trying to find a passable recording above 50%. Fuck SmartMusic.

SmartMusic, Sight-Reading Factory, EarMaster, and comparables? I'm an independent, private guitar teacher focusing on the Suzuki method for kids and classical guitar for adults. I'm testing out SmartMusic as a way to give my students sight-reading exercises at home as well as have some graded, non-sight-reading exercises.

Smartmusic is ass : r/marchingband - Reddit
If its classic Smartmusic, it sucks, nothing to say. The newer one works so much better, coming off experience from both of them.

Does anybody else use Smart Music???? I'm struggling to get 95 ... - Reddit
Everyone so far has mentioned SmartMusic not being great for tuba, and that tracks with my experience getting electronic tuners to recognize pitches super well below the staff. I’m eyeing the yellow notes in this image though and wondering how rock-solid your time is.

Finale/Makemusic/Smartmusic vs Musescore? : r/trumpet - Reddit
I am trying to figure out what music programs are worth it. My kid had had a smartmusic subscription through school, but paying for it individually doesn't seem worth it. I guess they're now Makemusic and are owned by Finale. I also have free musescore. I'm interested in being able to practice/listen to school music my kids do and also in being able to take existing music and make arrangements ...
